What is this feisty little thing? *PIC HEAVY*

I wish my 2 brown ones were SS but I doubt it because they don't have white chests, more of a light tan color, so they're probably leghorns. But I'll be pleasantly surprised if they do turn out to be SS!

The one you're calling a SLW is definitely not one. The legs are slate colored and the comb is a single. S/he(?) is most likely a Silver Lakenvelder bantam... and I say bantam because at 5-1/2 weeks of age s/he is actually SMALLER than all of the 2-1/2 week old chicks that you see in the pics.

The red/orange one has reddish feathers coming in on her body now. White wing feathers with reddish body feathers = golden comet(?) - I hope!

Now I'm kicking myself for not getting the 2nd one like her from the pullet bin.

The BR is no mystery. But is it a Barbara or a Brock?

Waiting to see about that.

My ss babies had yellow chests until they were older. I could be wrong, but they look a lot like my 3.

Whatever they are, I'm sure you will love them. Sometimes it's fun to have to wait and find out what you have for sure!
