IF she is in fact a golden comet, you will be very pleased- they are wonderful birds. Mine lays eggs so large, I cannot close the egg carton sometimes! She is a little more shy than some of my other birds but I lOVE HER!!

Hope yours is a golden comet also because mine look like that also.
Do the males look the same as the females?
What kind are the others in your pics? Mine are same age and came from TSC. I think barred rocks is one but not sure about the other 2 in first pic?

Golden comets can be sexed at hatch. The cockerels will be white and pulleta more of a red color. This continues on up till adult hood. Roosters will be mostly white with some red. Hens will show a lot more red and some white.

Quote:Mine came from TSC as well, from the pullet bin. The others are - a barred rock and 2 brown leghorns(?) that I was told were speckled sussex chicks. [IMG] As long as they're all GIRLS I don't really care. [IMG]

Looks like you have 2 speckled sussex, barred rock, silver laced wyandotte, and, I am not sure about the yellow chick.
