What is this? Flea? Louse? (Pic included)

I was holding my silkie and petting her in on lap when I noticed a tiny insect crawling on my blue pants. On the background of blue pants it liked kind of reddish but when I glued it to a piece of tape it looks more dark brown

Any idea what this is?

It might be a poultry tick. Look at it under a magnifying lens and count the number of legs. That will tell you what it is. Ticks have eight legs. Lice have six. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/poultry-ticks.48763/

It doesn't look like a parasite to me, but it's very difficult to tell. I'd need to see the size, any legs, etc. I can't see any details from this.

Last pic too blurry when zoomed in.....carapace looks to be a beetle.
I wouldn't worry about it....there's all kinds of insects everywhere,
very few bother anyone and even fewer bother chickens.
