I'm actually assuming it IS a gal. Bought from a bin labeled Aracauna/Ameracauna. What is up with these neck feathers? Looks like she was caught in a high wind!

If you got her from a bin at the feed store she is probably an Easter Egger. I hope luck is with you, but those legs look pretty thick to me for a lady.... how old is it? The neck feathers: she is loosing her baby fluff down and getting "real" feathers in - that's why she looks all windblown - it's an awkward phase to say the least. But, it looks like it will be a real pretty bird!

I was agreeing with the pullet diagnosis until I saw those legs! THEY ARE HUGE!!! Good luck with your Easter Egger (EE). I hope you get blue/green eggs but what comes out may be out of the other end. (cock-a-doodle-doo)

I think it's an EE pullet.
Straight on comb shot would be helpful. any pink yet? is it more wide or narrow?
Legs don't look all that huge to me... Maybe its the angle of the shot?

What do you think as to sex on these two? All of these have extremely heavy legs and feet I thought.

I would guess this too, at the young age.

Also, they are EasterEggers. You're never going to get true Ameraucanas/Araucanas from the Hatchery.
