No not at all, the lethal gene only exists in ducks. Crested x crested can give a duckling two copies of that gene and part of the offspring will die, course you probably already know that. Tufted x tufted is fine its just a gene that causes the feathers to be taller on the head. There isnt a cranial deformity in them either like some crested ducks have. If you rub the head of a tufted goose it should feel the same as a none tufted breeds head.
