What is this gray poop?

I've been finding one or two of these a day in the past week or so. The color and consistency are a bit like wet cement with teeny little stones embedded in it. Do you think this is from eating sand in their run?

What do you feed?

The stones is just grit that was passed, which is normal.

The stones is just grit that was passed, which is normal.

Purina Organic Layena layer feed. They are 10 months old and this just started appearing a week or so ago.

What does your soil look like?

Not sure how to answer that. It's just regular dirt? The same dirt as they've had for their 10 months of life. I have sand in the bottom of their run and wonder if the longer hours there due to the winter weather has them snacking on it?
