Lol! I appreciate the effort!! I did try to look it up online, and that’s my best guess too. It doesn’t look like chicks typically make it when this happens, but I was hoping someone here might have personal experience to share or advice.

Did you assist the hatch? maybe take some more pictures.

I don’t think it was an assisted hatch, it hatched under a broody hen. But she’s a first time mom so . I’ll try to get another picture today. It’s hard now, whatever it is. Here is the chick from other angles…it’s awfully cute!
