I have looked here for a lot of help in the past which has always been helpful! But this is my first time posting on here! My chicken began slowing down and acting strange last night before going in for the night, she mostly kind of puffed her feathers out a little and laid down, whereas she usually runs around until the last minute then is usually the last to go into the coop. This morning I saw in the litter below the roost she had dropped a regular hard-shelled egg which also had some yellow liquid with it, and she seemed to be a little more active but not totally herself. So, I decided to soak her in the Epsom salt bath, then I saw this hanging out of her vent. My questions are, does anyone know what it might be? And, should I try and gently pull it out? Or should I give some time to see if it will come out today? Right now I put her in the chicken hospital (aka dog kennel) so that the other chickens don’t try and peck at it. Sorry my picture went sideways! Thank you so much in advance for any help!
