Silkies, however, in the second generation of crossing out and even third gen out, produce five toes, dark pigment, black/grey legs, a small crest, pale or white earlobes, and an odd cushion, pea, or walnut looking comb like this bird.
Also, there are Buff Silkies. And crossing another color to buff creates the black in the tail like this hen has.
