What is this lump?

My 3.5 week old chick has a lump on its shoulder the size of a walnut. It is 3/4 of the way filled with fluid that we can see sloshing around in it. What should I do? What is this? I will try to post a photo

He died last night, but if anyone knows what this was, I'd like to know.
 
I wish I had an answer for you. Was he hatched with it or did it develop quickly?
 
I don't know how long he had it. I didn't notice it until yesterday, but I didn't handle them that often. Momma chicken didn't like anyone messing with her babies.

A cat started to attack one of the chicks. It may have been this chick. An infection from a dirty cat claw, maybe?
