At first I thought it was MG, but my birds that had it and healed perfect fine with Tylan 50 seems to be doing nothing for her. I feel bad. Is there something else I can give her. I don’t want to cull unless there is nothing else I can do for her and it’s necessary so she doesn’t suffer. :o(
She’s a 6 month old beautiful yellow EE

I had the same looking thing happen to my about 4 month old black Australorp. Did it appear over the course of only a couple of days? The poultry vet said it wasn't fowl pox.
The vet ended up giving her two weeks of sulfa and antinflammatories treating what she thought was Some kind of bacterial infection.
Here's a pic of my hen early on. my hen had the crusty weeping sores too.
I don't know if this type of look is normal for the breed as they are getting their combs and wattles, but none of our other five hens (not Australorp) looked like this.

I agree with Sourland and Casportpony on it looking like a bad case of fowl pox. Casportpony has much experience with severe cases. Look inside her beak and throat for any yellow patches that might be signs of wet fowl pox, a more serious form. Since you have had MG in your flock, and since MG can be one of several bacteria that can cause secondary eye infections, I would get some antibiotic eye drops such as cipro, from your vet, or Terramycin eye ointment from the feed store. It won't hurt to give her Tylan 50, just in case, but fowl pox itself will not respond to antibiotics, only some secondary bacterial infections. Tube feeding her could help keep her alive until the eyes can see food again in a few weeks. Or if you cannot tube feed right away, at least wrap her in a towel, and try to get her eating a wet mash of chicken feed, egg, a tsp of plain yogurt, plus water to make it runny. Do this at least 3 times a day. Let us know how she gets along.

Yes it looks like fowl pox my flock it fighting it off right know also but my flock does not have them that bad you might want to keep the ones in your flock with the pox away from the one who don’t have it will spread to the ones that don’t have it and it is painful give them and give electrolytes in there water you can get it at tracter supple hope your flock gets better :thumbsup:fl
