I found this in the nesting box yesterday. I’m not quite sure which one laid it. Could it be a Lash egg?
I squeezed it and it was rubbery with a small white ball in the tube. I tossed it away before cutting. My chickens all seem fineHello! Yes, looks like lash egg.
Can you cut it open to see what's inside?
Chickens hide illness really well. How old are they? What are you feeding them? Where are you housing them?I squeezed it and it was rubbery with a small white ball in the tube. I tossed it away before cutting. My chickens all seem fine
They live in a large coop (they do not free range) they eat Kings organic layer feed and I give them fresh greens, mealworms, and other foods (melon, pumpkin, fennel etc).Chickens hide illness really well. How old are they? What are you feeding them? Where are you housing them?
No. It was a big surprise to see that. They are eating and drinking too. As they are moulting, the number is a bit lower, but I’m getting eggs. They are 2 years oldHave they stopped laying?
