I’m still unsure of the gender of my own blue-buff partridge silkie. So I’m not too big of a help on that. But I think yours is a cockerel

Your bird is definitely male, comb and feather characteristics, such as the streamers coming from the back of his crest, all confirm it.

Pretty sure you have a handsome cockerel on your hands. The tail shape is also telling.

Just out of curiousity, why are you saying female? Silkie hens don’t have streamers or a clearly visible comb as seen on this bird.
