What is this thing next to the egg???

I have no idea what this thing is, it was next to a weird egg in the laying box, my hens are all acting normal but I'm really worried? What is that??? It feels like flesh and it's hard

It's a lash egg which is expelled infectious material from the reproductive tract.
If everyone is acting fine, just continue to monitor.

I see, thank you. I might have a hunch which hen it was, she had a very soft egg a few days ago, followed by a sour crop but I could luckily get rid of that. Maybe it's still an infection from the crop and laying tract?
