What is this THING that was laid with an egg?

First off, my hens appear healthy and range from 2-4 years old. Not sure which one this came from. They are on a steady diet of Scratch & Peck layer crumbles and table scraps.

The egg is without a shell, which I’ve seen before. But then there’s this firm growth that came with it. What the heck is it?? Some kind of calcium build up?

I’m no expert, and it hasn’t happened to me yet, but every time I’ve seen someone post something like this, the consensus is that it’s lash egg
