This is just a guess but I would say she will start in the spring as for the brooding i dont know never had a broody.

Well, My Buff Orpingons will go broody like mad, but when the chicks hatch the mom will EAT THEM!AH! WHY????? Or they peck a hole threw their head! YIKES! WHAT DO I DO????? But, not all of them will do this some will hatch out like 3 and then if another one hatches they KILL IT! Any ideas?

We had already named our buff Orpington pullet Sunshine when the name Mango came to me. She looked just like a little mango, but Sunshine had already stuck. So, my suggestion to you is Mango!
