I found this thing in my nest box. What is it? I have a lot of chickens and is going to be hard to find out who did it. Is she sick?

It looks like an egg with no shell and nothing inside. An empty membrane?

Yes, an empty egg membrane that probably got scarfed up by an attentive chicken. Sometimes you may see one in a tubular shape that has broken inside and passed. Soft or rubber eggs can be common in new layers, older hens, but always make sure they have access to crushed ouster shell for extra calcium in the diet for hard shells.
