While I am waiting to see if my wyandottes are pulleys are not I suddenly realized that one is not like the other and I'm pretty embarrassed at how long it took me to notice. This little one was sold as a splash blue laced red wyandotte but her colors are not matching up and then I noticed those toes! She has 5! And feathers starting to form. She also has a crested comb. Any guesses as to what she is? I don't feel like she is any silkie but that's the only one I know of with 5 toes. Thanks in advance!!

Well that is a pleasant surprise. Looks like they are fairly uncommon in the U.S. and are quirky little birds. Not to bad for getting on accident at a feed store mixed in with wyandottes.

Yes. Definitely looking like a salmon faverolles, and for the crest, this breed is known to sometimes have a tiny vestigial crest as with all of the continental breeds. They are the sweetest hens, and they are quite rare in the U.S. Be warned, they go broody A LOT.

I don’t know that they are that uncommon. The feed store I got my young ones from had a ton of them. That particular feed store seem to have a lot of breeds that I haven’t seen anywhere else though. They even had sapphire jams. But if you weren’t there an hour before they arrive and you were out of luck. They would sell out before they even got to the store. They are beautiful. And I heard they’re very lovable

I've never heard that Salmon Faverolles were rare. They have them in USA, some breeders have been working on different colors as well. They are generally sweet and docile, and go broody. Not the best layers though.
