OMG! This was in an egg! If this is a worm, it’s huge! Wrapped in the egg, sling the shell! Well over a inch long!

I THINK I'VE SEEN ONE BEFORE! I deeply apologize, but I forgot the name of it and details. Maybe the chicken had some kind of illness or lack of something. As the post above, thank god you did NOT EAT IT!

Are you talking about lash egg? I googled it after reading that and that's the best it could come up with
