What is this?!

Well, it doesn't look fertile in the respect that there is no definite ring around the blastodisc..but I believe I remember there can be changes to the blastodisc that don't relate to fertility. Sorry, can't remember the details....maybe @ChickenCanoe knows?

To me that does not look fertile, it is not a bulls eye, just a spot.
However the roo down the street can be coming in, and servicing your girls. No rooster is going to let a 5-6 foot fence stand in his way. And he can be in and gone fairly fast.
The roo's that come into my yard end up staying,,,,

...for dinner? :D
Haha! Well, if I catch any roo’s over here, they will be dinner!

I’m starting to think my girls are wandering off... I get about 12 eggs a day and missing the same few eggs each day. I think they’re going somewhere else to lay them. I kept them locked up in the run (11x22) and got 14 eggs today. I better go start knocking on doors to visit some backyards.

As for the mystery dot... it just stood out to me. Most of my eggs don’t have obvious dots. Or maybe I just noticed this one. I’m going with a large dot, not bullseye. Thanks for everyone’s input!!!

Myself and my neighbor have all pullets/hens. There’s a roo a few houses down but I’ve never seen any other birds in our yard. There’s no way it’s fertilized. But it LOOKS like it is, right?

Anytime you snap a picture of a fresh broken out egg, overhead lights can give you a false positive appearance.
