Here’s a hint is was used in building a new house, cabin, barn.... it was used for one of the first steps to putting up the building I think ...

....but think early buildings 1860s or so maybe ... no basements, no concrete... think old buildings

Nope... this item was mounted to a board when I took the picture so there are wires holding it... that might be what you’re seeing
