My dad was a butcher all his life and I made my way in the world that way for a bit...

and all of the old butchers had F.Dick butcher steels... long story short I started collecting them...

At this point I have a ridiculous number of them, everyone is a little different...

somewhere along the line I picked up that little file, but I’ve never been able to figure out if it was a jewelers file or saw file

That did not look like a K to me. It looked like an E.
For once in my life my mind was out of the gutter. .
