I was wondering what is that. This is a 4 month old cockerel that we slaughtered for meat. the mass was in the fat, sorry for the blurry picture, the inside was some kind of fatty, orangey liquid.
The chicken had no health issues
That may be a piece of fat or a portion of fat cells that has lost it’s circulation or become infarcted, and has formed a fluid filled cyst. It can be common in fatty tissue, and not just in chickens.
