Noticed this yesterday when we turned our rooster over to give him an injection. It’s near his breast bone. Any ideas as to what it is? I put some vermectin on it as it looks like at one time he pecked at it.

He actually doesn’t roost. He lays down in the wood chips or hay. Most of my Silkies prefer to not roost.Could be a breast blister. What do your roosts look like?
I also may have to go back to the Timothy grass as it provides a softer bed.Thank you. I have been treating it with neosporen and Vetericyn .
