What is this?!

It's super contagious, but not to people.

Hmmm... How old are the babies? Pox can be bad for them because it can get in their tiny little eyes (dry pox) and tiny little mouths (wet pox).
They are about a week and a half now 😬

Honestly, I don't know. I don't want to give you any misinformation. I even did a search and couldn't find anything on BYC or Google. Some recommend quarantine. If that is indeed how it's handled, you may end up having to rear them yourself. But the lesions appear after incubation, which is 1 -2 weeks, chances are, they've already got it.

If it were me (and this is COMPLETE guess work), I'd be tempted to bring the babies inside and separate the mama for a few weeks. But that would suck because then they would lose their mama, which might just exacerbate things. I did not quarantine because I had older birds and I figured all my girls had it. They all ended up with the scabs, but I dabbed iodine on them periodically, and it went away. At least if the babies were inside, I could check for complications.

I don't know. I really hope someone with more experience chimes in.
