It's part of the membrane malfunction, have had them here from time to time.
How old are your birds?

They are all a little over a year old. Got them last spring. When I first went to pick it up I thought it was a work and freaked out a little bit. It is hollow like a tube and is still stuck in the egg. Never seen anything like it. We have had the soft shells before but nothing like this.

If you live in the northern hemisphere she is probably ramping down production for molting and winter break. You can get some funky eggs around that time.
