He thought that they were going to give him eggs in a couple weeks! ? And that they need heat? And that they can’t eat layer feed? Didn’t he do any research?
But the thing on you chick looks fine. It will probably fall off when its feathers grow in. If it does seem to start to bother the chick I would check it out.

Yep, he thought they needed layer feed to help them start laying sooner. These chicks fir in the alm of my hand. Not sure how he thought they were going to push out eggs at that tiny size. Honestly though, you would be shocked to know how many people have asked me when theyll start laying at just a few weeks old.

Maybe. When I told them it will be many more months before they lay he asked why would you spend money on food of theybgive you nothing. Um....because they're living creatures who need to eat.
