What is this?

there’s only geese and duck and the thing doesn’t look like either. It has fairly big wings and I’ve owned ducks before and their wings are definitely not that big.

Call your dnr/game warden, maybe?

It’s water fowl of some type, so it had to have come from a body of nearby water. I agree with nuthatch, you can call your local game warden. Let us know how things turn out.
