I got two new runner ducklings on Sunday from a local breeder. Is her mouth okay? The corner where the bill meets the cheek looks a little crusty.

I see the spot you’re talking about and I don’t know what it is, but I think I would be a little concerned too. Maybe there’s something you can put on it that would help it to heal. I’m not sure what to suggest so wait until someone more knowledgeable comes along. maybe a little vetericyn or bannix …

I can see what seems to be a small defect in the corner of the bill. I would judiciously "wait and see" but treating it as if it's an infection as already advised won't do any harm.
