Coturnix are not native to any place in this country, so either some idiot released it or it escaped from some place

My sister found her in her mother in law's flowerbed. Since they don't know of anyone raising chickens (which is what she thought it was when she saw it- and I assume they don't know of anyone raising quail) she brought it to my house. And now that I think of it, very few people probably know that I have chickens in my backyard, so there's no telling who they could belong to! I am going to pit an ad on craigslist to try to find her a good home. She sure is cute, though!

I was trying to figure out what chicken it was when quail popped into my head. But yeah, she's some type of quail. A cute one at that! <3
