If they are reddish yellow and ripe, then mangoes are the best stuff around. If not, throw them away. And those are not ripe mangoes.

i HATE mangos too! to me, they taste like sweet avocados....but i LOVE avocados! so go figure!!! now maybe if i could have a hawaiian mango i would change my mind!!

I completely understand people that don't like them - they have a distinct flavor. Sweet avocado never even crossed my mind.

They are Ataulfo Mangos. Never tried them as I don't care for mangos.

I LOVE mangos!!! Not only are they sweet and delicious, but they're so much fun to eat! I like to peel them and hold it with both hands, all messy and squishy and drippy. Mangos are the best.

I also like to peel the skin and eat it off of each grape before I eat the grape itself.... But I digress. That has nothing to do with a juicy mango.

Those are unripe mangos.

Good ones will have splotches of red and yellow, be a bit soft to the touch, smell sweet, and should have a little syrup oozing from the stem area.

It is hard to get a great mango from a store, they are much better picked right off the tree.

Mangoes taste like avocados? Really? I hate avocados (I reckon they taste like egg - anyone with me?) but mangoes are not too bad. I Can't each too much or I'll start feeling wishy-washy, but they're good in a juice.
