I ordered some Gold Sex Links. They are 6 weeks old now. One of them is a darker red and is feathering out a little differently.
I would like to know what it is. I think the choices are between Red Sex Link, Production Red and Gold Sex Link.
    Tell me what YOU think.

The one on the right is a Gold Sex Link for comparison.

    Closer up.

The wing has some black in it.

As a chick, it is the second from the right. I recall it had a black vertical line on its head and the others didn't.

    I appreciate your opinions!

I believe the solid red one is a production red, they often get black/dark color in the tail feathers. Looks like a pullet so far...........

Which of these two would be the better layer?

The commercial sex link may be a slightly better layer, but generally they're going to be about the same.
