What is this?

This is a strange looking critter...I have read where turkeys have been able to breed and reproduce with chickens. I don't know how much truth is in it but, there are a couple threads on here about it.....

So maybe it's a "churkey" ?

it doesnt make the turkey noise though.. I did notice the bronze turkeys made a distinct noise,, Hm Im stumped. Im debating on keeping it or not.. I dont know the gender either.. lol.

Is it the same age as your naked necks? They look much younger than 3 months.

I just can't fathom a chick having fuzz at 12 weeks old. It just doesn't seem possible to me, but what do I know? :idunno

were did it come from? it has a malay comb...and looks just like ideals malay's

hmm but would it grow this slow? I had 2 Bronze's that grew pretty fast and feathered out quickly as well. but this one had its baby fuzz for months. and after 3 months it still isnt feathered fully

send to me!!!!!!! if it is indeed a malay your looking at possibly a 3' chicken and they grow and feather in slowly and it takes over a year for them to fully mature

I have to check out this breed :) A 3' chicken

yea thats what im thinking. my parents got some from ideal and im waiting to see if they actually get that tall:

This hard-feathered old breed arrived in England from Asia, possibly as early as 1830. It was a very popular fowl in England until it lost favor due to the popularity of the newly introduced Cochins.
BBR Malays were admitted to the APA's Standard in 1883. At present, Black, White, Spangled, and Red Pyle are also recognized, as well as Wheaten females. Cocks should weigh 9 pounds and hens 7.
These birds are very long-legged, and the broad skull and projecting eyebrows give them a sinister expression. Malays have a strawberry comb. The outline of the back, from head to tip of tail, should describe 3 convex curves. They have yellow skin and lay dark brown eggs quite infrequently.
One of the Game Fowl, originally used for cock-fighting, the Malay is quite pugnacious. It is intolerant of other roosters and may attack anyone who goes near it's hens.
