WHAT is up with Kane's ears??????????????? PICS ADDED

If he is teething, they will do that, I have had Jack Russell puppies that their ears were down and about that age when they started getting their big teeth the ears did all kinds of wacky things.

Thanks y'all. I'll try not to worry so much.
He's losing his funky puppy coat too. I'm finding clumps of fuzzy black hair everywhere.
Kane is such a joy and a little bit of a smart***. I love him to the moon and back.

Awwww... he's cute stuff up or down. When they are all flopped over it just makes you want to rub them more.

CG (who is a sucker for floppy dog ears)

I don't think you will have to worry about the ears,.. but if you are going to continue to stress unless you do something here is what I do to help yorkie pups with stubborn ears (usually due to the amount of hair on them).
1) take clippers, using short-toothed blade, and trim the hair on the upper 1/3 to 1/2 of the ear to minimize weight
2) I then hold the ears up and tape them up with a tape bridge between them (held upright by the support from the tape and the link to the other ear).

Rarely do I have to utilize step 2.

Good luck.

This is quite normal, he's just got larger heavier ears than your other boy. I wouldn't tape them, that can cause its own set of issues. For one thing they don't like having the tape on so they can injure the ear trying to get it off and also if his ears aren't going to stand then the breeder should deal with that.

Lots of times when a pup is starting to really teeth the ears will fall again. I have yet to hear a difinitive explanation but i have heard that its because mineral/nutritional resources are going to the teeth and being taken from other growing areas. Idk for sure, but believe me its common.

I wouldn't tape them. Sampson's ears did the same thing. It's normal with some german shepherds like Jamie said. He's got some big ears.

Sophie's ears were the opposite of Sam's they came came up MUCH earlier, and stayed up. So, don't panic, and try to just let em be.

I don't remember now because it was a long time ago, but I think our breeder said if they weren't staying up by 6 months ( may have been later ) then call her. Sam's ears were back up a few weeks later, and stayed up. We felt silly afterwards.

Okay, I'll try not to panic, but I'm curious, why call the breeder? Surely it's not to trade the puppy in on a erect ear model? I wouldn't trade Kane for all the money in the world. He's still developing into a wonderful, smart-as-a-whip dog, I just think he will be beautiful once his ears stand.

Erect ears, floppy ears, what does it matter? He's just so adorable I want to snuggle up with him and bury my face in his fuzzies! (of course, I have beagles, so what do I know of erect ears

) Okay, I hope his ears straighten up for you, but I just wanted to say "HE IS SO CUTE!"
