What is with this egg?

What's with that? They have good layer feed with plenty of calcium and they free range.
 
How long have they been laying?

It could be just new laying problems, or these things just happen once in a while. Chickens aren't perfect. Don't worry until you keep getting these.
 
Ours aren't laying yet but I read that an wrinkled egg can be caused if it gets cracked as it's forming, and then resealed by more calcium, you get a wrinkly but intact egg. From "Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens", I think?
 
cool ok. they're like 6.5 months old. the other eggs were normal so i figured this is maybe one bird's first egg

I get those kinds of eggs from time to time.
I don't think it's anything to worry about.
 
its cause by bruising or breakage while the egg is forming happen's alot.i have even had a egg inside a egg before,thats from it starting down then getting pushed back in the ovum then a new eggshell grows around the old one.
