What is wrong?! ..... They dont like peas!!

I finally got a bag of peas,.so I went out to feed some to my hen, and she took one, and spit it out! What the heck is wrong with my ducks!

Yep. The chickens tried mine, and got the ducks to eat them. They all scramble to get the peas now. When I got my drake a few weeks ago, it took the girls a few days to convince him peas were GOOD! Now he's lined up with everyone else when they see that bag, lol.

Every morning when I fill their tub of water they get their peas poured in and stand there bobbing for peas, it's so cute to watch them gather around and go for them. Even my older girls that never had peas will come and help bob.

For the first couple of days, my ducks wouldn't let me see them eat. I left them a plate of peas every day and they wouldn't eat them while I was there. The chickens ate a few though. I'd come back an hour later and the plate would be empty.
Eventually the ducks learned from the chickens that they can eat all they want. Now they gobble in front of me and will eat anything I put in front of them

Keep trying. They'll get it eventually.

I think it was just my few hens that didnt, becuz my two drakes and one of the hens gobbled them right down after a bit, but the other three hens wanted nothing to do with them

Not all of mine like peas either.. as i said before the favourite is dandelion but of coarse there almost gone now lol (killing frosts)

My ducks first reaction to peas was a cocked head and a glaring eye on them. No one touched them. About an hour later I returned and the peas were all gone.

My chickens saw me throw the peas to the ducks and they went nuts trying to convince me to throw them some too. (Jealous little stinkers)

Now when I show up with a bag of peas (thawed frozen type) I get a standing ovation from the entire crew.

Took my ducks two weeks to know what to do with a pea. Now they will take your hand off to get at them lol!

Yup, the drakes are now chacing me down with their mouths open for them

well, the rouen drake was chacing me the most, the khaki.... Not so much. Lol.
