What is wrong with my chickens? PICS

[Chewie]

Texas Star~ Only two of them are like this. They are 3 months old. The only ones affected are my two Easter Eggers. One is a rooster and the other is a hen. When they were chicks they looked normal but when it came time to grow in their adult feathers they never did. (Just above their tail is the only place they are affected) I started spraying Blu Kote on them to see if it would help and they seem to be growing in SOME of their adult feathers but not any downy feathers. They also seem to be pulling out their own tail feathers. Almost like whatever is going on is really irritaing to them. I've watched them alot so I know it isn't other birds feather picking. They are picking themselves. In some places above their tail they are bald. The feathers never grew in.

I would check to see if they have mites or lice, and I would seperate the two from the rest and give them black oil sunflower seeds and boiled eggs to get some protien in them to grow some feathers.

I took my rooster in to the vet today. She is going to ask the state vet come out to our place and look at our chickens. She said our rooster didn't have any mites, lice or anything like it. She was totally baffled. She said it wasn't feather picking from other birds but that the rooster was breaking off his own feathers. She said everything looked completely normal other than the feather loss and breakage. Then she took a stool sample and he does have roundworms. So I am treating my flock for worms and now waiting for the state vets reply.
