What is wrong with my hen????

How do i know if its severe? What are the symptoms of a very severe case? And what are the chances of my hen surviving
Dry pox is not normally a problem in adult hens. Its the wet one when lesions get in the mouth that is really nasty. It usually looks heaps worse than it is. One of my Japs had a really bad case that took weeks to clear up but it was the dry pox & she was fine. Just keep a good eye on her & separate her if you haven't already as it's quite contagious if your flock hasn't been immunised.

I have separated her already. She barely got the things on her face yesterday but I didn’t see her myself until today. So I separated her 1 day after she got the stuff on her face. Do you think the rest of the chickens are fine? Or do you think that they got the virus within that time? Side note- the hen that’s infected with it really never left her nest because she was broody and on top of the eggs. So i dont think she spread it to anyone since she was just in her nest box. What do you think?

I would clean the coop & nesting boxes as the scabs can be infectious & most hens will try to rub the lesions as I guess they itch.
