What is wrong with my pekin duck

I have a duck named Aflac, he was pure yellow as a baby but now he’s 3-4 weeks old and his face chest and wings are beige even though he’s supposed to be white , what’s up with her I have pictures of her through the

That yellow fluff will turn white, no worries.

It is not a Pekin. It is either a buff or a Saxony. There are faint markings on the head that you only find on those two breeds. The tail will also be slightly tinted gray.

The markings are really hard to see sometimes. Saxony are one of my favorite breeds so I am always looking for them. Personally I think both Saxony and buffs are better than Pekin. I have just seen too many health issues in Pekins that I haven't seen in my Saxony.

Agreed. Pekins are cute and all but have so many health issues. I love my two pekins but I probably won’t be getting more. It’s a struggle to keep them healthy

Very true! My Saxony is a rock star! Very healthy, very pretty, lots of personality.
