What is wrong with these eggs?

Looks like dirty eggs with mud or poo that had straw stuck to it. I see that when it rains hard I have a leak in my run and one spot gets muddy and they of corse play in it get dirty feet and take wet mud to the straw covered nest boxes.

Hmmmmm hadn’t thought about the straw being the culprit!

Sometimes if the straw (or the egg) is wet and the straw touches it before the bloom dries you can end up with lines like this. It's more often I get "straw prints" on my duck eggs because everything is damp with ducks.
