What is wrong with this chick's feet?

Yesterday we picked up two Orpington chicks.
This morning we noticed this- what has happened to this chick's feet?
And what should we do about it? thanks

They are not on a wire floor are they? That would be my first guess as it looks like they got caught on something. I hope after cleaning them up they do ok.

The feet looked normal when we got them; we put them in a shoebox with paper towel on the floor for the trip home.
Once home, they've been in a large rubbermaid tote with paper towel on the floor. No rough edges on the food or water dishes. It just seems strange that it's on both feet at the same spot. It wasn't bloody that we could wipe up; yet the dark spots feel like scabs. The other chick does seem to pick at this one a bit.
Feeling bad, as she almost waddles like a duck when she walks, and sits down most of the time; even to eat at the feeder.
I rubbed a bit of antibiotic ointment on each spot.

I think you should separate her, so the others don't peck her. Keep cleaning the wounds. I hope she gets better!
