What is Wrong with You Ducks?!?!

SO, I dug a pretty big pond for my ducks (my back is killing me), and lined it with a black tarp. I put a drain in and everythinh, and ever since I installed it, they wont go outside!!!!! Its been a week! Does anybody have any suggestions how I could make them get used to it?

Throw some of the floating koi food in the pool. My ducks love it.
