What is your chickens favorite treat?

My Chickens love styrofoam.

..but i try not to give them any...they also really enjoy dog food

I gave the girls some cold spaghetti noodles left over from last night's dinner this morning. Gotta say, that has certainly been the most entertaining (for me) treat thusfar. No doubt they thought I was giving them some huge tasty worms. (Even funnier holding a noodle out for them and watching them try to catch the swinging end with their beaks!)

Chickenyouout, serious? Mine took out a foam fishing cooler before I even realized my kids had dropped it over into their lot. Not sure what they were planning to do with it but that's another story. I thought that was weird behavior but now I see they aren't alone. I'll have to make sure our recyclables aren't getting raided. Little tummies on popsicle sticks!

Mine love the healthy little yogurt mash I make them:
TBS of yogurt, add some probiotic powder (Yes I spoil them if they seem sick! One of mine started sneezing, and I think this helped...), add enough of their crumbles to make it sort of "crumb cake" topping consistency... they squeal with delight over that.
They also love garlic greens. I planted them in the garden, because I had bought a HUGE bag of garlic cloves for 69 cents, and they were starting to grow... so I plunked them in the garden with my other bulbs. They LOVE those so much... so, I go out daily and cut some for them, and toss them in the pen. That's their favorite treat. I plan on planting garlic in a row next to their run.

They will not eat strawberries, though... and that confuses me! I'd think they'd love them! They'll eat the greens, but not the berries.
They love banana and tomatoes, too.

I like chicken nuggets. Oh,wait, you mean for the chickens. My girls like bread, yogurt, and sour cream with oatmeal, but they really get happy when I take the shovel into the run and turn over the dirt real deep. They get so gaga over the worms that it gets hard to dig with chickens dancing on your feet. The last time I did that, I bent oer to break up a clod of dirt, and one of the austrolorps jumped onto my back to get a better vantage point.

I can't wait to be able to give my girls "goodies" out of the garden. The question I have is, at what age can I start giving them these types of treats? My girls are 4 wks old, is this too young? And at what quantity of these items would be okay to put out for 20 girls?

Bok Choy. Someone gave us quite a lot of it to eat and my daughter brought some out to the chickens and they loved it. Now we grow it in the garden for them.
