What is YOUR definition of romantic???

A nice walk together sans offspring.

Him pitching in and helping with my projects, even when he thinks I'm crazy.

Doing almost anything together. He can always make me laugh.

Mine brings me a cup of my favorite tea when Im soaking in the tub after a hard day and then brings me a hot towel from the dryer when Im ready to get out. Gives me warm fuzzies whe he does that:)

When DH looks at me from across the room, over the top of his book... *fans self*

Edit... the only time I've ever peeled grapes is to simulate eyeballs for Halloween... does NOT summon romantical thoughts. Cold spaghetti either. Now a plain ol' grape... or a pineapple ring... those I can work with...

...I make a mean fruit salad.

Garage sales and thrift stores are a romantic Saturday morning for us.

And even though I'm being discouraged from internet shopping because all the good deals I find are not good deals anymore when you put them all together and look at the credit card statement...

Hubby brought me home a "How to Decorate Your House From Ebay" book, he picked it up when the sub stopped for port in San Diego.

Thinking of the other before yourself, eye contact and a smile, the plain and simple knowledge that she has my back in all things, the fact that even after almost fifty years I can't stop staring at her. The simple day to day things that make life what it is. Romantic doesn't have to be too complicated. Oh yeah, and peeled grapes!

No cliches! I don't want rose petals strewn all over the floor or a million candles lit, I don't want a candlelit dinner with violins playing, etc. Those things require zero thought.

The absolute most romantic thing ever is when my husband does something for me when I least expect it, even if it's just bringing me home a favorite candy bar or taking care of dinner when I'm sick. It means that he's thinking of me when I'm not there, and there's nothing more romantic than that.

Joe, you're cracking me up!

Dh always thanks me for making his plate or doing just about anything for him for that matter. He holds the door. He is funny and smart(although he pretends not to be), he's rugged and quick on his feet. He can build a coop, fix a car, start a fire and grill one mean steak. He is sweet and compassionate. He will stop and help a stranger any time or day with out thinking about it. He always looks at me like I'm the prettiest, skinniest girl in the room, even though I know I'm not.

He raised my children even though he didn't have to. He works hard for us. He tells me he loves me a zillion times a day. He's my "unanswered prayer" and I'll never forget it.

Finding one of my favorite candy bars tucked into the visor of my car!

Getting into the car and finding the tank filled!

This morning saying, "I think I need to get some of those stake things to put around tht edge of the garden bed to keep the hose from running over my flowers." And a few minutes later seeing him putting them in!

Right now he is wearing a bathing suit and doing laundry with the kids!

Now THAT is romance!
