What is your favorite breed..... Bantams or Big chickens????

Standards for sure. Banties are pretty useless IMO. Their eggs are tiny, theres nothing on them for meat and you can't sell them around here. Nobody wants them.

I have always gotten more eggs from my bantam chicken than from standards.............I guess they are smaller but more resource full and way more smart...

maybe it cause i can dual purpose them i dunno

but bantams have never apealed to me [even though my dad had hundrededs of em]

i wanna at some point try and hatch some jersy giants too

I don't dislike banties at all, they're really cute. I just prefer bigger birds is all, and I can't really have them because I only have big roosters and can't really keep them together. Although I did have a d'uccle and seabright at one point who ruled the coop. No one messed with them, not even my roo who was twice they're size lol

My bantams will lay really well for a month or so, then stop for a month. During the times when they are laying they lay a bit more then my standards, but they aren't consistent at all. I sell a lot of eggs so I need a flock who will lay all the time, not just when they feel like it. I also dislike banties because I have to keep them penned up, my standard birds free-range so I hardly have to feed them at all. The banties are a lot more work because they have to be fed and watered, and their pen cleaned out so often. They are useless against a predator, and my Cochin bantie roo was a jerk, lol.
