Tough one. Favourite that I've owned? Likely OEGB.

Good old fashioned Plymouth Barred Rock. They are relatively docile, fairly intelligent (for a chicken) lay very well, and taste really good! They are, however terrible setters. The best setters are good old fashion been yard variety crosses.
