What is your favorite childhood Christmas memory

We would leave my Mom's side on Christmas Eve after dinner and go to Dad's side to play bingo eat tiny finger sandwiches till time for midnight mass. Great memories. One year when I was 5-6 they made me imitate " Elvis"singing " blue suede shoes" with an air guitar before I got my presents! :wee  I had a swirly skirt with glitter on it. Ha ha

That's awesome! Would've loved if this post came with a video 😁

Another, very special memory was the Christmas Eve service at our church. After Pastor's message, we all lit candles that we held, turned down the lights in the sanctuary, and sang Christmas carols, together. The children were allowed to choose songs, after the more traditional hymns were sung - and we would sing Jingle Bells, Frosty or Rudolph ☺

My favorite Christmas gift: I think I was 11. All I wanted was a parakeet. Desperately. Mom played down my request, so I wasn't very hopeful. And when gift-opening came and went - without my bird, I was secretly disappointed, just the same.

Then Mom snuck over to our neighbor's house and returned to the livingroom with my beautiful little GiGi. And the rest is history. 💙 I loved her more than anything
