What is your favorite color of eggs?

There's no way I could pick just one egg color! I love blue eggs, especially like actual bright, sky blue blue eggs, and I love pinkish or purplish eggs, and dark, chocolate brown eggs, and terracotta eggs, and green or teal eggs, and gray-green eggs, and pretty much any of those colors with speckles... The only ones I don't find as awe-inspiring are your basic brown/tan and white eggs, but even they have their own beauty to them. My girls are perfect artists, and I tell them so every time I collect their eggs.

I agree that the brown egg is lovely in it's own way. Some have blooms that make them appear pinkish or purplish, and some are smooth and shiny, while others are matte finished and very classic looking - like unwaxed apples.

Whatever color she decides on that day, as long as it's a healthy egg, and she remains healthy laying them.

I like all colour eggs. after all, they all taste the same . But my favorite eggs are blue. Odile lays those. they are absolutely spectacular, but we don't really get many due to the fact that she is an oldie. I should probably breed her before she stops laying completely. I love that hen

So far the only color's I have had the privelige of getting are Brown and Pink. I was going to get some greens and blues but the birds were way too young, and I was not looking to keep separate coops for 3 to 4 months while they got big enough to deal with the older ones, so opted for the older babies (12 weeks or so) to integrate them sooner into the flock.

I like to joke that blue eggs taste more like blueberry and dark brown eggs taste more like chocolate

well, I have 4 pet chickens 3 are laying.
people will see the blue eggs and go but chickens only lay brown and white eggs

My favorite egg color is warm yellow with pink and white and orange spots, freckled with black. (AKA as ham, onion, cheese and cracked pepper - a Western Omelet.) The color of the shell doesn't matter a whit!

The purple was a bloom, it was a BCM egg, I never wash the bloom off the BCM eggs.
