This is the example I use with my b/f

I'm raising my sister's children because the reality is she wasn't a good mother. However, she percieves that she has done nothing wrong and that her family and the government is "out to get her". Her reality how she percieves it is HER's.

YOUR perception is YOUR reality. It's all in the wording I guess. Maybe even misquoted.​
