I will get a picture of him tonight, I've been meaning to now for awhile... We call him Godzilla Roo... I havent had to pick him up in a while, but I'm not kidding, he's got to be 15lbs at a minimum.

I have a Delaware roo. I like him, he's nice to look at, and not too loud, but he is pretty fiesty. He's never attacked me, but he did chase my BIL and he's pecked at my hand a few times. He's very good with the hens, always shares the food with them first and even sings the egg song when someone lays an egg. Here's a pic of him:

Goody!

I think I caught your post on another thread--I saw someone had named a chicken "Godzilla" and I wanted to know what manner of chicken would sport that name. Maybe I'm gonna end up stalking you for hatching eggs!

Lester my Blue Wyandotte rooster is turning out to be a great pick for the head rooster in the flock.
He is protective of the girls, leads them to the best foraging spots, to their dust bathing spots, escorts them back to the coop when the urge to lay hits, has gotten gentler when mating with them, allows them to have the best treats first, and has a cool sounding crow.

Lester is definitely one of my favorite roosters.

Growing up my mom ordered EEs and we had 2 very sweet EE roosters that got really big and were just fun to have around.

I realize breed traits play a big role; but alot also has to do with individual personality traits too. I have another Blue Wyandotte rooster that will be prepped for freezer camp tomorrow because he is people aggressive. He is also mean to the other chickens too. The other batchlers were happy when I took him out of their pen today to put him in the prep pen.

I love my Silkies I have. So far no issues with the Silkie boys; however, they have not reached chicken puberty yet.

my favorite so far is rhode island red. my rooster is really good with the hens and looks out for them really good and pretty to look at also.

After years of eating Roosters that overmated, or were mean to people, I now have a big Langshon. Nice to the girls, friendly to people, good looking boy, calm so far. So far the breed is calm and prodictive, and extras are taystee.
